Painted Post, NY

Most people don't trust me with their children, because I don't know anything about them. This was not the case in Painted Post, New York. They invited me here as the missionary at Vaction Bible School. I had no idea what I was getting myself into. I started the adventure off at 7 o'clock on Thursday night. That is when I traveled to Indianapolis. Then I finished the trek to the New York the following day. Upon arriving we went out into the community to invited kids to VBS. This was a little overwelming. Oh well.
On Sunday I gave 3 presentations. The first one was kind of shakey. It was a youth group sunday school presentation. But then I went to the church service and was reminded by God why I want to be a missionary. God broke my heart all over again for the Ivorian people specifically the Djoula people. We watched a video that Patrick at Office Max made for me about the Ivory Coast. I stood in front of 85 strangers to pour out my love for God's church. It was one of the few moments in my life when God spoke through my lips because I had surrendered my whole being to him. Later that evening I gave a presentation on French words. I gave 4 more presenations at VBS.
I fell in love with the people at Twin Tiers Christian Church. The love that they embraced me with was refreshing. I have never felt that love from a church that wasn't my home. I miss the people there. I am excited to say that the kids numbering 34 raised close to $500. The church there has also decided to partner with me in my ministry.
Please continue to pray about the work in the Ivory Coast.

I graduated from Ozark Christian College in May. Since then I have been working at Pizza Hut and AfterHours Formalwear. I have also been to church camp several times to give presentations. Right now I am in New York about to be the misisonary at VBS. I am excited about the opportunity to share God's heart for the world to children. I am also very excited to build relationships with the folks here in Painted Post, NY. Please continue to pray about them ministry in the Ivory Coast.
